PV tends to be more "punk," while grindcore tends to be more "metal." However often that is not really true. The difference is clearer when you listen to early examples of each. Check out Napalm Death's Scum and compare that to Neanderthal's Fighting Music. PV also tends to have more slow sections.

Here's a bunch of my recently listened to bands. Lots of subgenres in grindcore that can dictate how the sound is portrayed. Didn't include much powerviolence but that is currently my favorite subgrene of extreme punk as well as what my band plays. Think more hardcore punk side of grind as opposed to its metal influence.
A good example of a powerviolence band with emo influences is Combatwoundedveteran. screamo is like the 90s posthardcore style of emo taken up a notch in intensity, notably in the vocals. An exemplary screamo band that wouldn't (shouldn't) get called emoviolence is I, Robot. Still a little frantic, but not as fast or chaotic as powerviolence.

Powerviolence was meant to be an answer against Grindcore by playing super fast Hardcore without metal influences (like Grindcore). So many bands are now mixing powerviolence and grindcore. What are your thoughts?

That's the difference. I think deathgrind is death metal and grindcore, and goregrind is brutal death metal and grindcore with more gore. I just think that with the death metal sound it gives it a bit of more serious darker riffing sound. As with goregrind it sounds more sped up wild and going all out with intensity.
