I know some people farm Mirage (fortee thieves or ghultures) since you can get gold and couch potatoes/jewels. Aethyr Ore is a rare drop from harvesting Aethyr Dust. You can transmute Aethyr Dust into Aethyr Ore with the recipe sold by Loligo in Aeriel Shores or Verrin in Nimus Citadel. One Aethyr Ore requires 15 Aethyr Dust. That means you will need 375 Aethyr Dust to get the required 25 Aethyr Ore.

Nick S. What is Farming in Wizard101? It's an endgame activity to keep top level players busy while waiting on new content. You fight the same boss over and over until they eventually drop the gear you want from them. Farming is a necessity to be competitive in PvP, and it will make your life a great deal easier in PvE.

BIG TIP: GET WATERWORKS GEAR AT 60 AND THEN KEEP THOSE BOOTS, ROBE, AND HAT UNTIL DARKMOOR GEAR AT LVL 100. people get way too sidetracked with gear when waterworks is very good until 100 (except from some specific crown gear on the way). Of course, athames, ring, amulets can change along the way to 100 since they actually make some difference.

Find one spot where they are spawning in a few places near by (I used Aerial Jungle) then sit there and change realms every minute. Don't bother with first half dozen realms that are crowded go for the realms that are less occupied.

House of scales is better, but can take longer to farm so do this: Run it once for the exp and chance of drops, try and do belloq if you can to get that 1% accuracy deck, then run waterworks and get the robe and boots, keep the WT hat for the blade, I think the stats are slightly better anyways.
