When I lived in Missouri I used to make all my own tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, and salsa. I planted over 150 tomato plants usually, made it then canned it in jars for the winter months, especially the salsa. I canned dozens of each one in quart jars. LOT OF WORK.

It is replacing a Victorio grinder, with hand crank and electric motor that I've had for over a year. The Victorio will stay in my preparedness supplies but the WonderMill now has a permanent spot in my kitchen. The WonderMill is so quick it amazes me. I only grind what I'm using at the time, 23 cups of grain, and it processes it within a minute.
The Back to Basic assembles very differently than this Victorio VKP1012, and it is definitely not as good. I'm still looking for a hand operated grain mill. If Victorio would fix the attachment problem of the VKP1024 so that it would attach to a standard 1 inch counter overhang, I would definitely repurchase it.
